Sig Sauer HEXIUM762 Suppressor Tested on a Budget AK
November 7, 2026
RECOIL put Sig Sauer's 3D-printed HEXIUM762 suppressor on a roughly $700 WASR 10/63 AK, and the reviewer came away impressed by the sound and gas control.
Key points
- Specs: Titanium, 7.62 NATO, 1.75 inches wide, 6.2 inches long and 11 ounces. MSRP is $999.99, with a factory 5/8x24 direct thread mount and HUB compatibility.
- Range results: About 500 rounds of Wolf 124-grain FMJ and Detroit Ammo Co. 220-grain subsonics. The reviewer shot both without ear protection and found backpressure very low.
- Heat: Two magazines pushed it a bit above 700 F. The reviewer says titanium cans should stay under 800 F, so it suits sustained fire poorly. It sparked a little once very hot.
- Mount trouble: The factory mount was installed tight. Removing it took a tool Sig supplied to hold the can in a vise, plus a pipe wrench. The reviewer then fitted a JMAC 360HDM mount in 14x1 LH.
Quick take
RECOIL's reviewer says the performance outweighs the mount hassle, and suggests keeping the original mount on a 5/8x24 muzzle. He could not find the vise tool for sale and thinks Sig should sell it or note the tight mount on the product page.
