Sig Sauer XRAY5 Red Dot and FOXTROT2R Light Pair Up
November 7, 2026
At SIG NEXT, RECOIL looked at Sig Sauer's XRAY5 pistol red dot and FOXTROT2R weapon light, and its writer calls them more significant than the new P385 pistol.
Key points
- No moving parts: The XRAY5 uses a 225-dot matrix. Zeroing changes which dot is lit instead of physically shifting one emitter.
- Zeroing: It takes a phone app and a few rounds, though the sight can also be zeroed without a phone.
- Clarity: The Zero Distortion Optic system uses flat lenses and a reflecting lens in the roof. Side by side with traditional red dots, RECOIL's writer called the difference night and day.
- Light link: Over Bluetooth, the FOXTROT2R raises the dot's brightness automatically whenever the light is switched on.
- Pricing: The XRAY5 comes in standard and compact versions, in SIG-LOC, RMSc or DPP footprints, from $499. The FOXTROT2R is $199.
Quick take
RECOIL calls the XRAY5 impressive alone and a sleek package with the light. This was an initial overview, and the outlet says a full review will follow once it has units to test itself.
