The Strike Industries Extended Magazine Plate LED Edition (EMP-LED) for Glocks has been introduced.
Designed specifically for Glock 9mm/.40cal models across Generations 3, 4, and 5, the EMP-LED is powered by a single 2032 battery. It features a downward-facing LED node, intended for various activities.
When attached to magazines, the EMP-LED can function as an emergency signaling device, a tool for attracting attention, or for requesting assistance. It has been envisioned for scenarios such as clearing dark environments or shooting in low-light conditions. Night shooters and those participating in night matches can activate the EMP-LED with a quick button press, helping to ensure magazines are not lost after drills or stages.
The device can serve as a short-range light source, assisting users in assessing their surroundings and potential hazards in low-light settings. While it can act as an emergency light source, it is not intended to replace a serious flashlight, being better suited as a safety device.
In low-light training environments with multiple participants, the EMP-LED can be used to enhance visibility and prevent accidents. When several EMP-LEDs are activated in magazine pouches, they can help illuminate the user’s position for others.
Constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum, the casing of the EMP-LED includes grooves on its base, which improve ergonomics. These enhancements allow for quicker magazine handling, faster reloads, and easier removal of magazines from firearms.
