Kimber’s 2024 product line is expanded with the introduction of the 2K11, a high-capacity double-stack 1911 designed to offer enhanced performance compared to existing production models.
The Kimber 2K11 is available in both standard and target configurations, with each model chambered in 9mm and .45 ACP. The standard model includes three magazines and one C&H optic mounting plate for Trijicon RMR type footprints, with three additional plates available to support various optic preferences. The target model also comes with three magazines and one C&H optic mounting plate, along with a ported slide, adjustable rear target sight, and a Kimber-exclusive Stan Chen Customs® competition magwell.
The 2K11 is designed with consumer-requested features, including an external extractor for increased reliability and durability. It incorporates a type III hard anodized aluminum grip module and improved internal geometry to enhance the reliability of high-capacity magazine feeding. The GT Trigger, breaking consistently at 3.5lbs, is highlighted as offering a sharp wall, crisp break, and notable performance.
Additionally, a patent-pending tool-less guide rod simplifies disassembly and cleaning. These features collectively distinguish the Kimber 2K11 from other models on the market.
Everett Deger, Director of Marketing and Communications stated: “We were determined to produce the very best high capacity 1911 and deliver a superior value. The 2K11 has several unique features that come standard that you have to have customized in the aftermarket to achieve what you get out of the box with Kimber.”
